David C. Molenaar, SRA, RAA is a Michigan Certified Residential Appraiser specializing in residential, condominium, relocation and high end properties in the Greater Lansing area.
David began his appraisal experience in 1978. His clients include major banks, mortgage companies, attorneys, relocation companies and private parties. Mr. Molenaar will provide you with the utmost attention and consideration for you real estate appraisal needs. David holds the SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser) designation from the Appraisal Institute and the RAA Residential Accredited Appraiser) designation from the National Association of Realtors. He is also a member of Employee Relocation Council (ERC).
David was the 1991 & 2005 President of the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and was on the Board of Directors for the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors for 8 years. He served 4 three year terms on the Board of Review for the City of East Lansing. In July 2005, David was appointed by the governor to be on the State of Michigan Appraisers Board for a term of 4 years. In September 2006, David was elected Chair of the Michigan Appraisers Board and reelected in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013. In August 2009, Governor Granholm reappointed David for a 2nd term of 4 years to the State of Michigan Appraisers Board.
We maintain an extensive data base from existing files, governmental records and local Multiple Listing Services. We maintain conformance to secondary market guidelines and adherence to external agency regulatory appraisal requirements. As a member of the Appraisal Institute, members are held to a higher standard than the minimum state and federal requirements.
